Medusa

Este não é o nome oficial!!! Este quadro ainda não está concluído, portanto, até lá ainda posso mudar de ideias, mas em principio fica assim...lembrei-me daquela história da Medusa com a cabeça cheia de cobras....

Este é capaz de ser um dos meus favoritos...até hoje...porque em tudo o que faço, gosto de colocar detalhes pequeninos, minusculos; e em óleo tem sido um bocadinho complicado para mim manter esses pormenores. Este parece-me que é a prova de que eu estou a chegar lá...devagarinho...

Que belo nome que eu arranjei para este quadro...absolutamente invulgar: "Quadro a óleo", não é giro?? eu acho, só receio que caia na repetição uma vez que todos os meus quadros....são pintados a óleo....

Sinceramente não sei que nome lhe dar...começei a pintá-lo por pintar, e depois acabei por oferece-lo. Também não era este que queria oferecer, mas como não secou a tempo, ficou este. Com ou sem nome, acho que está engraçado... Mais um bocadinho de experiência que adquiri com esta técnica!

And here's another canvas. Started to paint it this afternoon. It is still being painted, so i decided to post various pictures of it, while being made. The next post, (i think) it's the final result. It was ordered by a friend that loved "Eva or Rapunzel"...

This one is going to end at a little girl's bedroom...it is supposed to represent joy, happiness, achievement, but most of all, to express what a wonderful thing it is to be able to give life. (I don't know, i just guess:P)

Eve or Rapunzel

Most people i know, never guessed that i usually paint canvas on my spare time. To be honest, i do it mostly in the Summer, because the technique i use is oil, and it takes longer to dry when it's rainning...But yes, i paint canvas...Why i never tell anyone?? Probably because i'm too perfectionist, and in my opinion, my paintings are never good enough. I started to paint on canvas with some free oil samples just to see how it worked...and everything i know, i learned from my own attempts to paint correctly, so i know i don't have to be so hard on me...

Anyway, today i finally decided to present some of my oil paintings.

This one was finished last week, and its ready to be offered to someone very special. It is someone from whom i've learned a lot, and deserves everything that is good!!!The painting hasn't a name yet, but it could easilly be called Eve or Rapunzel...i don't know...i don't know...if anyone as a better sugestion, just let me know...
